To make your trip as smooth and enjoyable as possible, we have put together a guide about traveling to and staying in Stockholm.
Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) is the main international airport, located about 40 minutes from the city center. Alternatively, Stockholm Skavsta Airport (NYO) and Bromma Airport (BMA) serve budget airlines and regional flights.
To reach central Stockholm directly from Arlanda, we recommend taking the Arlanda Express, which takes about 18 minutes.
Visit Arlanda Express websiteFor accommodations, we recommend booking an Airbnb or hotel. We've highlighted a few nearby neighborhoods in the Where to Stay section.
π Stockholm boasts excellent public transportation, with easy access to trains, buses, and the metro to get you nearly anywhere. You can find the official app SL for local transit below.
πΊοΈ We recommend using Google Maps for route planning, and the SL App for more exact time tables and other transit information.
π³ Paying for transit is simple, just use your credit card or Apple Pay. You can also find "Period pass" using the SL App.
π Uber is also available in Stockholm and is known for being reliable and safe. But be aware, the distances are sometimes shorter than you think and it may be more worth walking and enjoy the scenery!
π¦We don't recommend renting a car in Stockholm, as parking can be both difficult and expensive.
To reach Sirishov from your accommodation, we recommend using the Google Maps app to plan your journey. It will guide you with the best available routes to the venue. If you're taking public transport, you will be dropped off at Nordiska museet/Vasamuseet, followed by a short, scenic 13-minute walk to Sirishov.
